Alain Metternich named President of D.I Group, the media branch of the LVMH group

LVMH, the world’s leading luxury products group, has named Alain Metternich President of Desfossés International (D.I Group – La Tribune, Investir, Radio Classique). M. Metternich replaces M. Christian Brégou, who leaves D.I Group today by mutual agreement with LVMH, having completed his two year mission in the post. Mr. Bernard Arnault, Chairman and CEO of LVMH, said: “In a difficult environment for media and in particular for economic and financial titles, Christian Brégou has completed the mission that LVMH asked of him: namely, the rationalisation of the scope of D.I Group, the relaunch of the Connaissance des Arts magazine, and the rejuvenation of the daily national, La Tribune, around its recent redesign”. Alain Metternich is currently President of Investir, which he joined in 1984, and has been President of the SID Editions Group since 1999. He is a director of NMPP (the French cooperative for weekly and periodical publications) and honorary chairman of the union for economic, legal and political media (SPEJP).
