Jacques Friedmann will join the company’s Board of Directors

LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, the world’s leading luxury products group, today announced that Jacques Friedmann will join the company’s Board of Directors. LVMH’s Board of Directors has decided to propose that Jacques Friedmann’s entry to the board, as an independent director, be given approval at its next AGM. Jacques Friedmann, honorary General Auditor and former Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Axa, is currently Chairman of the Development Board of the Quai Branly Museum, dedicated to new art and Chairman of the Jeu de Paume gallery. Having spent many years in administrative roles and within a number of ministerial cabinets (those of Messrs. Giscard d’Estaing, Chirac, Messmer and Balladur) Jacques Friedmann ran large French companies gaining the Chairmanship of the General Maritime Company, of Air France and U.A.P for which he ran the privatisation. For ten years, he was President of the development and advisory board of the Paris Caisse d’Epargne. Jacques Friedmann is commander of the French Legion of Honour.
